About me...
Hello! My name is Erin Watson. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and a breastfeeding counselor. After the birth of my two children, I developed a deep passion for creating a more supportive and caring culture for moms during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. As a doula, I truly delight in "mothering the mother," protecting her experience while offering a listening ear and helping hands.
When I'm not enjoying the privilege of being a doula, I love reading a good book aloud to my kiddos, talking with my husband over a cup of coffee, and writing poetry when inspiration strikes. I also cherish long walks where I can pray and think, a cup of tea with a friend, and meaningful conversations. Meeting new people brings me true joy, and I consider a campfire with friends, family, guitars, and music a life-giving good time!
In addition to being a mother to two biological children, I have had the experience of being a foster parent. I've been an instructor in TCE (Teaching Children Effectively), volunteered in after-school Good News Clubs, taught preschool classes in various daycare centers, and served as a phonics/reading tutor. My personal experiences include high-risk pregnancies, the NICU, and non-medicated childbirth. Of all the gifts and opportunities God has given me, supporting moms as a doula is one of my favorites.
